Lauren Colyott: Council Bluff lake is a great place for swimming and afterward eat a yummy dinner in Arcadia Valley and stay at the nostalgic place bed and breakfast in Arcadia. Nostalgic Place is a favorite for many hikers after long days on the trail. Their beds are heavenly and they treat you like family. Check out their website at www.nostalgicplace.com it is awesome...............I have never seen white water on the Black River. I have on the St. Francios.

In Missouri there are many beautiful lakes, Council Bluff Lake is one of them. Johnson Mountain is simple to spot from Council Bluff Lake; Guyser Hollow is a magnificent spot to spend some time. Summertime highs at Council Bluff Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Council Bluff Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. All the outdoors cool things in

There's so much to do here at Council Bluff Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hazel Creek Campground is a delightful site for that, and there are some great whitewater spots on Black River - East Fork. Taum Sauk Creek for all you adrenaline people, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Trace Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Council Bluff Dam is wonderful and it's near Council Bluff Lake, and Council Bluff
Lake is a site with many visitors from Farmington. Yeah, come up here to the Ozarks for a tremendous time. Near Council Bluff Lake you locate the Berryman Trail which is a nice hiking trail. You'll need more than a day to explore
everything Council Bluff Lake has to offer, you can camp at Wild Boar Ridge Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Taum Sauk Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Council Bluff Lake gets a normal amount of
rainfall; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is January. Council Bluff Lake is located in the Ozarks.
