Lauren Colyott: Council Bluff lake is a great place for swimming and afterward eat a yummy dinner in Arcadia Valley and stay at the nostalgic place bed and breakfast in Arcadia. Nostalgic Place is a favorite for many hikers after long days on the trail. Their beds are heavenly and they treat you like family. Check out their website at www.nostalgicplace.com it is awesome...............I have never seen white water on the Black River. I have on the St. Francios.

Council Bluff Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This spot, the Ozarks, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Going for a hike on the Trace Creek Trail is always a nice adventure; hey, Sam Branch is a tremendous local stream. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Black River - East Fork, and you can go for a hike on the Berryman Trail. Near Council Bluff Lake you discover Guyser Hollow which is a perfect location to take a look

| | at, and Wild Boar Ridge Campground is a delightful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Council Bluff Lake from Farmington, you won't be the only one. This lake is located in the wonderful Ozarks. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do in close proximity to Council Bluff Lake. you're here. Potosi Super 8 Motel is a delightful site to get some rest, and don't leave Council Bluff Lake without first going for a hike along the Taum Sauk Trail. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Ozarks.
Drift down the rapids of Taum Sauk Creek in a kayak, and Council Bluff Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Hazel Creek Campground is a great site to camp nearby. During the warm days of summer here at Council Bluff
Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's
