This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Rolla here at Coolbrook Swimming Pool. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Coolbrook Swimming Pool, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Coolbrook Swimming Pool. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Oak Meadow Country Club is always a diversion, and dry warm

LLC. Lakes? Sure, Bray Lake is nearby. Coolbrook Swimming Pool is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks. Brays Lake is a delightful lake near Coolbrook Swimming Pool, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Kaintuck Trail.
So much cool stuff to do here in the Ozarks, too wonderful to be true. If you need a location to stay Comfort Suites Rolla is a tremendous choice, and Coolbrook Swimming Pool is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Arlington River Resort is a splendid place to camp nearby.

Kaintuck Trail
 | ...il is one of the largest I have ever seen. From the top, you will not know that you are on a bridge. From the bottom it looks like a large, deep cave through which light doesn't travel because of a bend in the tunnel. Follow the trail around the hill and you will find the other opening. Next time I will bring a flashlight so that I can explore a little.
The trails are popular with horseback riders and are as wide as sidewalks most of the time. In most places and the footing is good. A small percentage of the trail is made up of loose rock that can be bad for a weak ankle.
My only complaint is that the map I have is not accurate and the markers on the trees don't lend much confidence. Today I wound up walking an extra two hours because of a wrong turn. Looking at the Internet maps, I still can't find the path I was walking or the fenced meadows. In one spot the trail went through a chained gate. I didn't know if I would be trespassing so I turned right, followed a path around the field and found myself on some dirt road that is not marked. Maybe the next time ... |
