This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail is always a great adventure. So much amusing stuff to do here at Collins Lake, too brilliant to be true. Crowley Hill is lovely and can be distinguished from Collins Lake; Collins Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Holliday Landing Resort is a great place to camp nearby. Just can't get enough of the Ozarks. Why not       pop by nearby Collier Creek while you're here at Collins Lake; Graves Mountain State Forest is a wonderful forest vicinity close by. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more enjoyable stuff to do in the Ozarks. SUPER 8 MOTEL - POPLAR BLUFF is a great location to get some rest; Sam A Baker State Park is a magnificent campground nearby. There are wonderful locations to discover along the Crane Lake Trail, and get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater                  of Big Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Collins Lake without first going for a hike along the Silver Mine Trail, and Otahki Lake Dam is gorgeous. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Collins Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Collins Lake. There's whitewater on St. Francis River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and since you're here, you could also visit charming Little Hawaiis Lake. Collins Lake gets a great deal of water; March is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture.
