Collins Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ozarks. If the weather is good here at Collins Lake, you can go for a hike along the Silver Mine Trail, also Otahki Lake Dam is worth stopping at if you're here. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Ozarks. While you're here at Collins Lake you can take a hike along the Crane Lake Trail, and Graves Mountain State Forest is worth taking       a look at. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay SUPER 8 MOTEL - POPLAR BLUFF is a magnificent choice, and you can stay the night at Sam A Baker State Park. At Collins Lake during the summer months highs are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Collins Lake. And that's not all you can                  do here at Collins Lake. A lake close by is Otahki Lake, and a tremendous panorama of gorgeous Crowley Hill is available. The high level of precipitation makes Collins Lake a reasonably wet site; the month with most of the rain is March; January is the month with the least moisture. Having a perfect time in the Ozarks is easy. Get dripping wet paddling on Big Creek, and going for a hike along the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Collier Creek flows through this region, and whitewater paddling is great on St. Francis River. This lake is so wonderful.
