Throughout the warm months at Collins Lake highs are typically in the 90's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 40's with temperatures at Collins Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. If you're here, you might as well stop by Collins Shoals, and you can stay the night at Possum Pete's RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Apache Motel       & Gift Shop is a great location to spend a night or two, and Beasley Bend is an out of the ordinary location to stop at while at Collins Lake. Collins Lake is a good location of typical rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here; February is when it's the driest. Be careful coming to Collins Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Take a little trip to Hog Slough if you're here at Collins Lake, and Collins Lake is a magnificent location                  to camp, III Mile Campground and Flea Market is a magnificent location.
