A fine place to camp here at Coats Lake is Cooper's Landing Campground; some of the water close by flows, like Barclay Branch. That right there is heaps already, but it carries on; Coats Lake has it all. Coats Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Cottonwoods RV Park is a good local campground, and Little Leech Lake is a delightful lake nearby. Whitewater paddling is       not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Hinkson Creek, and dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn AND Suites Columbia. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Coats Lake. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Coats Lake plunge into the 10's. Coats Lake is a good site of typical precipitation; the month with most of the rain                  is May, and January is when it's the driest.
