I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Chain of Lakes. Looking for something close to Chain of Lakes? Shy Lake 2 is close at hand, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Taum Sauk Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Black Creek, and there's whitewater on Big Creek for all you thrill seekers. The high level of precipitation makes Chain       of Lakes a quite wet place; most of the rain falls all through March while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if that's not enough there's lots more exciting things to do in the Ozarks. If the weather is good here at Chain of Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Crane Lake Trail; Des Acre Hollow is a great place to check out. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Ozark National Scenic River is worthwhile. At Chain of Lakes                  all through the days of summer highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's; night lows in the 10's for Chain of Lakes. You can run the rapids of Crane Pond Creek next to Chain of Lakes, and Chain of Lakes is great enough to spend more than a day at, Big Creek RV Park is a great local campground. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more cool things to do here in the Ozarks. Nearby lakes? Sure, Shy Lake is near Chain of Lakes, and camping at Sam A Baker State Park is always a delightful experience. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful.
