If you are in Boone county it's always a good idea to stop by Cedar Lake. During the summertime months highs here at Cedar Lake reach the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Cedar Lake plunge into the 10's. | | Grove Village MHP is a great local campground. Morton Branch is a good spot to stop by; there are some great whitewater spots on Hinkson Creek. Cedar Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. and if you need a place to stay Drury Inn Columbia is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Cedar Lake, you could also have a look at close by Hunt Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Baymont Inn & Suites Columbia.
