A visit to Castanis Lake is always a good idea. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Ozarks is so good! Castanis Lake is not the only site nearby, Weisel Lake is a nearby lake; camping is available at Candy Cane RV Park and Campground. Summertime highs at Castanis Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows

Tea Lakes is a 210 acre conservation area located 6 1/2 miles south of Rosebud, Mo. on Highway T. You may visit the area during the day and talk to David Jordan the area caretaker. There are 5 fishing lakes, primitive campsites, playground, MO. Native/Plants of Merit garden recognized by the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, Mo., boy and girl scout camping areas, shelters for picnics and gatherings. There are several hiking trails, however, we are in the process of remapping these trails and some will not be usable for the summer. This is a small organization and a small membership fee is required in order to use the facilities after the initial trial/camp/visit. We welcome anyone who is conservation minded, wants a place to visit away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoys the great outdoors.
