Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Carter Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's while Carter Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. After a long day outdoors Scenic Rivers Motel is a fine location to spend a night or two; do take a hike on the Crane Lake Trail. A glorious close by hotel is Bluffview       Motel & Restaurant, and while you're here, you could visit Cedar Bay. Carter Lake is a rather wet place generally with much rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. So many fun things in the Ozarks, just remarkable. Hiking along the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail is wonderful fun, and Black River is a nice whitewater spot close by. Yep, outdoors exciting things to do are really                  plentiful here at Carter Lake. If you're here, you might as well take a look at Evans Hollow. Carter Lake is located in the Ozarks. This lake is so wonderful.
