Go to Carpenter Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Swamps like Mengo Slough right next door to Carpenter Lake make for wonderful locations to pop by, and if you need a site to stay SUPER 8 MOTEL - POPLAR BLUFF is a pleasant choice. There's so much to do here at Carpenter Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camelot RV Campground is a delightful location for that, and people from Poplar Bluff love

| | to come here. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop at Big Lake next to Carpenter Lake; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Pine Ridge Nature Trail.
You can run the rapids of Black River next to Carpenter Lake, and some exciting geology is available here, Carpenters Bend is right here. All year is a splendid time in the Ozarks if you have a thing about the outdoors. Harwell Creek is a nice local stream, and | |

close by you stumble on the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail which is a great hiking trail. Carpenter Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and January on the
other hand is the driest.
Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn POPLAR BLUFF. The Ozarks scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Wren Lake Dam has good water scenery and it's next to Carpenter Lake, and there
are other places here than Carpenter Lake, for example Wren Lake.
Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Ozarks. There is a great hiking trail next to Carpenter Lake called the Lost Creek Nature Trail, and Carpenter
Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Bullwinkle's Rustic Lodge and RV Park is a glorious local campground. During the summer highs here at Carpenter Lake reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the
60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Carpenter Lake.
