The yearly rain here at Cantrell Lake is about average; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while January is ordinarily the driest month. This is a popular place for folks from St. Joseph, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not take a look at Jones Lake.       A good site to camp here at Cantrell Lake is Beacon RV Park; there's some interesting stuff to distinguish at Cantrell Dam close to Cantrell Lake. At Cantrell Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Cantrell Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can                  be played at The Golf Club of Saint Joseph, and Grant Lake is a wonderful lake nearby. Camping is available at Basswood Country Resort. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Cantrell Lake.
