A visit to Brown Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Brown Lake, you can go for a hike along the John J Audubon Trail It's always great to visit White Spring. Brown Lake is not the only place close by, Pogue Pond is a close by lake; next to Brown Lake you come across a golf course called Madison County Country Club. | | observe at Smittys Catfish Pond Dam right next door to Brown Lake, and there's whitewater on Little St. Francis River for all you thrill seekers. From a precipitation point of view Brown Lake is a quite typical place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; the driest month is January. On a splendid day at Brown Lake you can take a hike along the Silver Mine Trail, and Brown Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Barks Plantation | |

is a good local campground. Brown Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Brown Lake. If you get bored of Brown Lake, you could also explore
close by Pogue Lake, and there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Castor River. Throughout the months of summer here at Brown Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's with night lows in the 60's. High temperatures
through the winter are normally in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Brown Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Ozarks. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Farmington, Mo.
