first going for a hike along the Cedar Bluff Trail, and there's always Bray Lake Dam to check out in the neighborhood of Brays Lake. There's great hiking along the Blossom Rock Trail, and if you're a golfer then a magnificent nearby
course is Oak Meadow Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Brays Lake; Kaintuck Trail is a tremendous local trail. This lake is so wonderful. A good spot to camp here at Brays Lake is
Camp Brim Shire, and if you've had enough of Brays Lake, Coolbrook Swimming Pool is close by. Brays Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ozarks. If you need a location to stay Rolla - Days Inn is a fine choice, and do have a look at Abbott Branch while you're here at Brays Lake.

Kaintuck Trail
 | 10 miles away ...atural bridge located on this trail is one of the largest I have ever seen. From the top, you will not know that you are on a bridge. From the bottom it looks like a large, deep cave through which light doesn't travel because of a bend in the tunnel. Follow the trail around the hill and you will find the other opening. Next time I will bring a flashlight so that I can explore a little.
The trails are popular with horseback riders and are as wide as sidewalks most of the time. In most places and the footing is good. A small percentage of the trail is made up of loose rock that can be bad for a weak ankle.
My only complaint is that the map I have is not accurate and the markers on the trees don't lend much confidence. Today I wound up walking an extra two hours because of a wrong turn. Looking at the Internet maps, I still can't find the path I was walking or the fenced meadows. In one spot the trail went through a chained gate. I didn't know if I would be trespassing so I turned right, followed a path around the field and found myself on some dirt road that is ... |
