Bray Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. You'll locate a lovely lake called Brays Lake near Bray Lake. Go for a hike on the Kaintuck Trail, and while you're here, you could also check out delightful Coolbrook Swimming Pool. The amount of rainfall that falls at Bray Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is May; January meanwhile is the driest month. throughout the winter temperatures at Bray Lake dip into the 10's. So much cool stuff to do at Bray Lake, so little time. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bray Lake has to offer, you can camp at Camp Brim Shire; why
not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Oak Meadow Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Blossom Rock Trail is always a good adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Rolla - Days Inn.

Kaintuck Trail
 | 10 miles away ... light doesn't travel because of a bend in the tunnel. Follow the trail around the hill and you will find the other opening. Next time I will bring a flashlight so that I can explore a little.
The trails are popular with horseback riders and are as wide as sidewalks most of the time. In most places and the footing is good. A small percentage of the trail is made up of loose rock that can be bad for a weak ankle.
My only complaint is that the map I have is not accurate and the markers on the trees don't lend much confidence. Today I wound up walking an extra two hours because of a wrong turn. Looking at the Internet maps, I still can't find the path I was walking or the fenced meadows. In one spot the trail went through a chained gate. I didn't know if I would be trespassing so I turned right, followed a path around the field and found myself on some dirt road that is not marked. Maybe the next time the park service is out clearing fallen trees or doing their controlled burns they can tack up a few more trail signs, especially where the trail forks or passes thr... |
