This lake is so wonderful. Scenic 63 RV Park is a great campground nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things close to Blues Pond. If you're here at Blues Pond and you like golf, you can explore Oak Meadow Country Club; on a great day you can take a hike along the Blossom Rock Trail. While you're here at Blues Pond, you could also explore scenic Frisco Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Cedar Bluff Trail. This lake is so wonderful.

| | The Kaintuck Trail is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Blues Pond, and Martin Spring is an inspiring location to pop by while here. Lots of folks from Rolla come to Blues Pond; do stop by Blues Lake, it's a stunning lake. A common amount of rain falls here at Blues Pond; May is the wettest month with most rain; January is when it's the driest. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is plentiful here in the Ozarks. Inn and Suites Rolla; if you came for an overnight stay Arlington River Resort is a great spot to camp. Blues Pond is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks. During the summer highs here at Blues Pond reach the 80's. Throughout the moonlight
hours it's typically in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Blues Pond. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Ozarks. If you need a place to stay Comfort Suites Rolla is a fine choice, and Blues Pond Dam is a delightful place, positively worth stopping at.

Kaintuck Trail
 | ...s one of the largest I have ever seen. From the top, you will not know that you are on a bridge. From the bottom it looks like a large, deep cave through which light doesn't travel because of a bend in the tunnel. Follow the trail around the hill and you will find the other opening. Next time I will bring a flashlight so that I can explore a little.
The trails are popular with horseback riders and are as wide as sidewalks most of the time. In most places and the footing is good. A small percentage of the trail is made up of loose rock that can be bad for a weak ankle.
My only complaint is that the map I have is not accurate and the markers on the trees don't lend much confidence. Today I wound up walking an extra two hours because of a wrong turn. Looking at the Internet maps, I still can't find the path I was walking or the fenced meadows. In one spot the trail went through a chained gate. I didn't know if I would be trespassing so I turned right, followed a path around the field and found myself on some dirt road that is not marked. Maybe the next time the ... |
