You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Snow Creek if you're here, and if you need a location to stay Marriott Kansas City Airport is a magnificent choice. Basswood Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Basswood Country Resort is a glorious local campground. Lakes? Sure, Turners Lake is close at hand. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. There are other sites here

A great site to camp here at Basswood Lake is Smith Fork Campground, and get dripping wet paddling on Kansas River. While you're here at Basswood Lake you must pop by Goose Neck;
