Baker Pond is a pretty wet place typically with a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly November, that's the one that rains the most, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Not far from Baker Pond, you'll come across Leonards Lake which is a scenic lake, and going for a hike on the Crane Lake Trail is always a great adventure. Looking for a nice trip? Ozark National Scenic River is       relatively close to Baker Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are pleasant places to explore along the Taum Sauk Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Taum Sauk Creek.
