Leonards Lake is in close proximity, and going for a hike along the Crane Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Summer brings highs in the 80's       to Baker Pond. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's; night lows at Baker Pond through the winter ordinarily dip into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Creek Campground and River Outfitters is a splendid local campground, and don't miss out on a tour to Ozark National Scenic River while you're here.
