So much cool stuff to do here at Anderson Lake, too fine to be true. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Roland Meadows Golf Course is in close proximity; Goose Creek is in close proximity to Anderson Lake and is always a joy to explore. Going for a hike on the Pine Ridge Nature Trail is always a brilliant adventure, and if you desire a little side journey, try Nagle       Hollow. During the long summer days, highs mostly are in the 80's at Anderson Lake with overnight lows in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Anderson Lake dip into the 10's. Anderson Lake gets a large amount of water; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest of the months is January. If you need a place to stay SUPER 8 MOTEL - POPLAR BLUFF is a great choice, and                  nearby you hit upon the Johnson Natural Area Backpack Trail which is a fine hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. A short journey to Faulkner Spring is always worthwhile, and camping at Holliday Landing Resort is always a magnificent experience. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is bountiful here in the Ozarks. The Lost Creek Nature Trail is a perfect hiking trail in close proximity to Anderson Lake, and Anderson Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Davis Camp is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Ozarks. St. Francis River is a nice whitewater spot next to Anderson Lake, and Anderson Lake Dam is a pretty location.
