Acuff and Ayers Lake is one of the lakes here in the Ozarks. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Acuff and Ayers Lake; Pine Ridge Nature Trail is a perfect local trail. Acuff and Ayers Lake is a quite wet place mostly with lots of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       Good hiking is available along the Boardwalk Nature Trail, and if you need a place to stay Oak Tree Inn Dexter is a glorious choice. During the months of summer at Acuff and Ayers Lake highs are frequently in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's, and overnight lows at Acuff and Ayers Lake during the winter mostly drop into the 10's.
