Acuff and Ayers Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ozarks. And if that's not enough there's a load more amusing things to do in the Ozarks. The scenery at Acuff and Ayers Lake Dam in the vicinity of Acuff and Ayers Lake is lovely; if you're here you can take a hike along the Boardwalk Nature Trail. Whippoorwill Lake is a good campground nearby, and on a good day you can take a hike along       the Lost Creek Nature Trail. Acuff and Ayers Lake is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, Barks Plantation is a brilliant site to camp nearby. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Acuff and Ayers Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Acuff and Ayers Lake tend to be in the 10's. Acuff and Ayers Lake typically gets much rain; of all the months                  in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful.
