This lake is one of the great places here in the Ozarks. Throughout the warm months highs here at A C Schneider Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. During the winter the highs are generally in the 30's with temperatures at A C Schneider Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Stay the night at Kan-Do Kampground and RV Park, and if you need a place to stay New Florence Days Inn is a pleasant choice.

A C Schneider Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Jonesburg Gardens Campground is a magnificent place to camp nearby, and if you get bored of A C Schneider Lake you could also take a look at close by Benson Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Hermann Motel, and golf can be played at Loutre Shore Country Club. This place is peerless, just look at all the cool things to do in the vicinity of A C Schneider Lake.

From a rain point of view A C Schneider Lake is a relatively normal location; most of the rain falls during May, and January meanwhile is the driest month. That right there is a lot of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the
Ozarks has it all. A lake close by is Henson Lake, and A C Schneider Lake Dam is a beautiful spot, undeniably worth taking a look at.

Lot 1 was cement and very level. We agreed to change lots when another camper came in that was staying for 4 years and for whom this lot was better suited with multi-level cement areas and flower beds.
Lot 34 was a gravel pull through which was level and just fine. All lots have picnic tables and burn rings.
The owners, Kathy & Drew, were very helpful to us and very nice and accommodating. They plan family events for the campers and have a nice little store area for essentials. Just before we left, they were going to begin having homemade muffins and to-die-for cinnamon rolls at the store.
It is very dog friendly which is important to us.
The wi-fi works well and has an excellent signal.
The campground is easy to locate from I-70 Danville Exit and is quiet and has nice grounds including trails through the woods for hiking and enjoying nature. The swimming pool was closed for the winter as the weather was cool while we were there, so I didn't use the pool.
We did not use the bathrooms, showers or laundry facilities while... |
Tea Lakes

Tea Lakes is a 210 acre conservation area located 6 1/2 miles south of Rosebud, Mo. on Highway T. You may visit the area during the day and talk to David Jordan the area caretaker. There are 5 fishing lakes, primitive campsites, playground, MO. Native/Plants of Merit garden recognized by the Missouri Botanical Gardens in St. Louis, Mo., boy and girl scout camping areas, shelters for picnics and gatherings. There are several hiking trails, however, we are in the process of remapping these trails and some will not be usable for the summer. This is a small organization and a small membership fee is required in order to use the facilities after the initial trial/camp/visit. We welcome anyone who is conservation minded, wants a place to visit away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just enjoys the great outdoors.
