The beauty of Young Lake attracts many people from all around. Giants Ridge has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. St. Louis River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Young Lake has to offer, you can camp at Eveleth Veteran's Park.  | 200 beautiful wooded acres in Northern Minnesota with a swimming beach and fishing pier. A boat landing is on the other end of this 5 mile long lake to easily launch your boat. 40 Camp Sites are available in a pristine wooded setting. The river is at least 100 miles long. I've paddled from Katherine Lake to the St. Louis River and there is plenty of river to paddle besides the section from US 53 to US 2. The top section, from Katherine Lake to Lake Co #2 is an especially wild ride, and I've only done it once, but the drop is incredible, sometimes like a logging flume.... |
