From a rainfall point of view White Bear Lake is a rather normal place;       most of the rain falls during June, and February on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at White Bear Lake through the long summer days are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at White Bear Lake temperatures drop to the-10's. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lost Lake is near White Bear Lake, and Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is a perfect                  national park. There's so much to do here at White Bear Lake that you need to camp here for a while, St Paul East KOA is a pleasant place for that. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Manitou Ridge Golf Course is a magnificent way to kill some time; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Vermilion River.
