West Sturgeon Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Mesabi Range. West Sturgeon Lake is right by the Stingy Lake Trail. Yeah, come here to West Sturgeon Lake for a great time. A beautiful lake like South Sturgeon Lake close to West Sturgeon Lake is a wonderful site to go to, and Sturgeon River is a great whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. a good hiking adventure along the Link Lake Trail; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Fork River. So much fun stuff to do in the Mesabi Range, not sufficient time.

We're only 6 miles from Fergus Falls. As the largest city in west-central MN (population 13,000) it offers plenty of restaurants, shopping, a very fine historical museum, a Prairie Wetlands Learning Center and more. Pebble Lake Golf Course, a challenging 18 hole course, is 5 miles away.
