George Washington State Forest is a fine forest area in the neighborhood of Wamp Lake; do have a look at Spring Lake, it's a scenic lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Sturgeon River; Hibbing Park Hotel is a fine site to get some rest. The amount of rain that falls at Wamp Lake is close to the national average; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is February. All recreational equipment can be checked out at no charge. Our game room is always busy with kids playing pinball or pool. At our convenience store you'll be able to pick up basic groceries, ice cream, pizzas, snacks, ice, fishing licenses, tackle, and night crawlers. We also carry unleaded gas and motor oil. We have hiking trails up through the woods and a playground for the little ones. The paved Central Lakes Trail goes right by us, so bring your bikes. Our pad... |
