Wamp Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Wamp Lake. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Little Fork River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Wamp Lake; Link Lake Trail is a tremendous local trail. Through the summer months at Wamp Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the winter are

| | generally in the 10's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Wamp Lake drop into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Wamp Lake, you'll stumble on Spring Lake which is a lovely lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Stingy Lake Trail. There are other places here than Wamp Lake, for example Louis Peloquin Wildlife Impoundment Reservoir, and close by you'll discover a wooded neighborhood called George Washington | |

State Forest. Stay the night at Thistledew Campground, and after a long day outdoors Hibbing Park Hotel is a brilliant location to spend a night or two. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend
Sturgeon River. Take a hike on the Valley River Trail. There's so much to do here at Wamp Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Stony Brook Campground is a glorious spot for that. A typical amount of rain falls here at Wamp Lake; most of the rain falls during June while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
