From a rain point of view Wakefield Lake is a pretty typical place; the wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. High temperatures at Wakefield Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 80's, and through the night       it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 10's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Wakefield Lake fall into the-10's. Northernaire Motel is a wonderful campground nearby, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Goodrich Golf Course is nearby. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not take a look at Frost Lake in close proximity to Wakefield Lake, and if you come                  at the right time of year, Vermilion River offers some glorious whitewater. Everybody close by loves skiing at Afton Alps, and you'll probably meet some people from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington here. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Wakefield Lake. You'll come across a wonderful lake called Lake Phalen near Wakefield Lake, and Wakefield Lake is a wonderful location to visit for more than one day, St Paul East KOA is a wonderful location to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is recommended, and Super 8 St. Paul/I-94 is a splendid place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
