Temperance River Campground is a good campground nearby; dry warm beds await you at Caribou Highlands Lodge. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Rib Lake Trail. All through the long summer days at Waffle Lake highs are mostly in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's, and after       the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Waffle Lake dip into the-10's. Yeah, come here to Waffle Lake for a great time. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a great place to spend a night or two; why not head up to Lutsen and strap some skis to your feet. A great place for whitewater paddling close to Waffle Lake is Cross River, and lakes are such serene locations, why not pop by Soda Lake. An average amount of rainfall falls                  at Waffle Lake; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful.
