A lake close by is Blackface Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Savanna Portage State Park is a splendid place to camp. Through the summertime at Vanduse Lake highs are mostly in the 70's. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board. Our swimming area is safely marked off with no dangerous drop offs. We have plenty of sand for sunbathing and sandcastle building.
