    What a nice lake Van Vac Lake is. While you're here at Van Vac Lake you can take a hike along the Beatty Portage, and you can never get enough of the delightful skiing at Giants Ridge. This place, Van Vac Lake, it completely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not stop at Triumph Lake near Van Vac Lake. There's so much to do here at Van Vac Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sioux River Campground is a magnificent  
   location for that. At Van Vac Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's with temperatures at Van Vac Lake dipping down into the-20's during winter nights.
An average amount of rainfall falls at Van Vac Lake; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Triumph Creek
 
               flows through this area, and you'll discover a charming lake called Canthook Lake.
Going for a hike along the Canfield Portage will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and if you came to camp Lake Jeanette Campground is a good location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Echo Trail is nice fun, and Vermilion River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.
