Lake of the Valley is regularly a relatively dried up site; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Not far from Lake of the Valley you get some glorious water scenery at Bass Lake Dam, and you can stay the night at Pine Springs Resort & Campground. The Little Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Lake       of the Valley that you need to camp here for a while, Tamarac Resort and Campground is a nice place for that. There's wonderful hiking along the East Bad Medicine Trail, and Cmon Inns Park Rapids is a good place to get some rest. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Lake of the Valley. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Otterkill Trail, obviously you could also have a look at Bad Medicine Lake while                  you're here; it's not far at all. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Lake of the Valley highs are commonly in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's.
