If you are in Cook county it's always a good idea to stop by Vale Lake. Get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Kadunce River, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Lesser Cherry Portage. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Vale Lake. Grand Portage National Monument is a very tremendous location to stop at near Vale Lake, and since you're here, you could also stop at pretty Bean Lake. At Vale Lake all through

| | the warm months highs are in the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, typically in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 10's with temperatures at Vale Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.

Superior Inn And Suites is a pleasant choice. There's so much to do here at Vale Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kimball Lake Campground is a brilliant place for that; the Great Cherry Portage is a great hiking trail
close by.
This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp East Bearskin Campground is a nice place to do that, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Vaseux Portage. The amount of rain that
falls at Vale Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is August while February is typically the driest month.
