Trollhaugen is a nice place to do that. Turtle Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; throughout June this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A fine close by hotel is Americinn - Stillwater, Mn; in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on St. Croix       River. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites STILLWATER is a tremendous choice, and Turtle Lake is a brilliant site to visit for more than one day, River Bend Mobile Home Park is a brilliant site to camp nearby. Throughout the summertime here at Turtle Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and throughout the dark hours in                  the wintertime at Turtle Lake temperatures descend to the-10's. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. The slopes of Wild Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and Golden Acres is a perfect campground nearby. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Sawmill Golf Club, and Turtle Lake is not the only place close by, Staples Lake is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is a very delightful site to take a look at right next door to Turtle Lake.
