Turtle Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Bel-air Motel is a fine local campground. If you're popping by Turtle Lake from Bemidji, you won't be the only one, and a lake nearby is Movil Lake. Around Turtle Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; July is the wettest month       with most rain while February is mostly the driest month. A magnificent nearby hotel is Americinn - Bemidji, Mn, and nearby you stumble on the Meadow Lake Trail System which is a pleasant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Buena Vista has glorious slopes and a friendly staff; Turtle Lake is not the only place close by, Des Moines Lake is a close by lake. During the months of summer at Turtle Lake highs are generally in the 70's, and through the night                  it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Turtle Lake. Just can't get enough of Turtle Lake.
