     Don't forget to take a good little trip to Pine Creek, and the skiing at Giants Ridge is glorious. This is a great region for people who like lakes. Little Trout Lake is a lake close by; you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Canfield Portage. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Trout Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 10's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Trout Lake  
   plunge into the-20's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge At Giants Ridge.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining stuff just keep reading. While you're here at Trout Lake you can take a hike along the Beatty Portage; whitewater paddling is nice on Vermilion River. An average amount of precipitation falls at Trout Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest
 
               month. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous location to camp here at Trout Lake is Mc Kinley Park Campground, and going for a hike along the Echo Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
Lakes are great; North Arm Trout Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Trout Lake, and Norway Point is not far at all. Camping is available at Lake Jeanette Campground, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Vermilion River.

...ish that never really gets big right? Well that fish is the perch unfortunatly. Back in the 70's the lake had jumbo perch, they were hard to find, you only caught a couple but they made anything out of lake michigan look like a minnow. I did catch one jumbo though, and even that one was on the small side of a true jumbo but there still a few ''smart ones'' left i guess you could say. Echo lake has lots of stumps,logs, boulders and such so you will get stuck. If you dont get stuck then you arent fishing the lake right. As far as that is concerned that is all the tips i will give because fishing is about skill and luck and thats all the knowledge i will give out. If you know what u are doing u can catch every species of fish with one lure. Make sure you bring plenty of them because like i said before, you will get stuck if u fish it right. In all that said i feel echo lake is on the rise as far as quality of game fish but what is your lucky lure??
