It's always fun to stop by Trap Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Devil Track River, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the South Lake Portage. The amount of rain that falls at Trap Lake is close to the national average; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. While you're here at Trap Lake you can take a hike along the Stairway Portage; you can never get enough of the delightful skiing at Lutsen.
