It's always fun to stop by Tittle Lake. Best Western Superior Inn And Suites is a wonderful place to get some rest, and obviously Puff Creek flows through this neighborhood. From a rainfall point of view Tittle Lake is a relatively common location; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. There are great sites to look at along the Lesser Cherry Portage, and don't leave

There are some great whitewater spots on Brule River, and lakes are such serene locations, why not stop by Mirage Lake. All our national parks are fine places to stop by, and Grand Portage National Monument is no exception; why not camp at Kimball Lake Campground while you're here at Tittle Lake. Bay Suites is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Tittle Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Tittle Lake plunge into the-10's.

Trout Lake
 | Trout Lake approx 14 Northwest of Grand Marais,MN and then 4 miles east on #140 (Trout Lake Road)to the lake. Mink and Kimball lakes are also accessed by this road. BOATERS BEWARE - the public landing is a ''carry in landing'' meaning no trailered launches here. If you prefer you can launch at Trout Lake Resort for a fee of $5 to $10 but their landing is shallow as well and very rocky. NO BIG BOATS can get in and that's the way the folks at the resort like it. A boat with a ten h.p. will do the trick. In fact the folks at Trout Lake Resort will rent you one if they are not reserved by the resort guests for ~$35 for 1/2 day. The like is super clear and boasts lake trout and rainbows. We caught one rainbow on a lazy fishing/swimming expedition and another boat on the lake caught a small laker and one rainbow. This lake would be real fun for trout in the spring when they are near the surface but they can be found by trolling in 20 to 30' along the shore lines in late summer as well as the deeper spots.... |
