Be careful coming to Thrush Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. After a long day outdoors East Bay Suites is a nice site to spend a night or two, and unsurprisingly, this is a good neighborhood for people who like lakes, Thrasher Lake is a lake close at hand. Ball Club Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out, and camping is available at Cascade River       Campground. There's good hiking along the Stairway Portage; why not camp at Two Island Lake Campground if you're here at Thrush Lake. The amount of rainfall that falls at Thrush Lake is close to the national average; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Throughout the days of summer here at Thrush Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's, and the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, frequently in the                  50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Thrush Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the North Shore State Trail, and a splendid close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Grand Marais. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the South Lake Portage, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on Cascade River. Head up to Lutsen and strap some skis to your feet.
