From a rain point of view Third Lake is a rather common site; most of the rain falls all through June, and the driest month of the year is February. Through the warm days of summer at Third Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into       the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 10's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Third Lake temperatures plunge to the-20's.
