A perfect place to camp here at Thimble Lake is Thistledew Campground, and as expected, this is a great region for people who like lakes, Shine Lake is a lake nearby. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Take a hike on the Valley River Trail, and get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Big Fork. Summertime highs at Thimble Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to       the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 10's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Thimble Lake temperatures plunge to the-20's. The annual rain here at Thimble Lake is about average; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
