In Tanners Lake you can find great black bullhead, black crappie, bluegill, bullhead, catfish, channel catfish, crappie, green sunfish, northern pike, perch, pumpkinseed sunfish, sunfish, walleye, yellow bullhead and yellow perch. A good nearby hotel is Livinn Suites Maplewood, and Afton Alps has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. You'll find a scenic lake called Birch Lake near Tanners Lake, and if you want     to take a ride on a horse Shadow Creek Stables is in the vicinity.
