     If you came for an overnight stay Baker Lake Campground is a brilliant location to camp, and hey, Gotta ski right? Lutsen is a perfect place to do that. Camping is available at Gunflint Pines, and there's glorious hiking along the Granite River Portage. All through the months of summer at Swollen Ankle Lake temperatures are regularly in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's, and  
   nighttime lows in the-10's for Swollen Ankle Lake. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Swollen Ankle Lake; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Poplar River. What a location this is for outdoors people. Dawkins Creek is close to Swollen Ankle Lake and is always a bliss
 
               to stop by; Eagle Ridge Resort at Lutsen Mountains is a great place to get some rest. Don't leave Swollen Ankle Lake without first going for a hike along the Pine Portage, and after a long day outdoors Caribou Highlands Lodge is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. Temperance River is a splendid whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Swollen Ankle Lake, and not far from Swollen Ankle Lake you'll find Lucky Pay Lake which is a charming lake. Go for a hike on the Rib Lake Trail; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Fool Lake.
