Swamp Lake is a site with many visitors from St. Cloud; Swamp Lake is a magnificent place to camp, El Rancho Manana Campground is a magnificent place. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Sauk River, and if you need a location to stay AmericInn Avon is a perfect choice. So much cool stuff to do at Swamp Lake, so little       time. The snow is good at Powder Ridge, and Super 8 Motel - St. Joseph/St. Cloud Area is a great site to get some rest. Swamp Lake is a good place of typical precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month is February. During the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Swamp Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's; during the                  dark hours in the wintertime at Swamp Lake temperatures drop to the-10's.
