Minnesota has many beautiful lakes and Sunset Lake is one of them. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Ico Campground is a tremendous campground nearby, and paddling on St. Louis River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Andy Lake is a great lake right next door to Sunset Lake, and hey, Gotta ski right? Spirit Mountain is a glorious place to do that. Sunset Lake is a location that is relatively arid regularly; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Lakes are such serene places, why not go to Schelin Lake in close proximity to Sunset Lake, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Cloquet is a great site to spend a night or two. Getting to Beartrap Creek from Sunset Lake is trouble-free.

| The river is at least 100 miles long. I've paddled from Katherine Lake to the St. Louis River and there is plenty of river to paddle besides the section from US 53 to US 2. The top section, from Katherine Lake to Lake Co #2 is an especially wild ride, and I've only done it once, but the drop is incredible, sometimes like a logging flume.... |

Eagle's Nest Resort doesn't have any campsites for rent but they do have nice cabins instead....This is great publicity but I am wondering how this information was put on the internet. We are always listed as a resort with cabin rentals. our 7 site seasonal campground that has not had an opening for several years, so it is never listed under campgrounds.
