Sturgeon Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. That right there is a lot of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Mesabi Range has it all. After a long day outdoors Hibbing Park Hotel is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and since you're here, you could also explore pretty Side Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Hibbing Super 8 Motel, and C C Campground 717 is a great local campground. Don't you try to stop me, cause
I'm havin' a great time here at Sturgeon Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Pine Beach Resort RV Park is a great spot to camp, and the scenery at Sturgeon Lake Dam is beautiful.
Sturgeon Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Pickerel Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and the Link Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater

on Little Fork River for all you adrenaline people, and there's good hiking along the Snake Trail.
Sturgeon Lake is a beautiful lake in the Mesabi Range. At Sturgeon Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Sturgeon Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
Be careful coming to the Mesabi Range, you might not ever want to return home again. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Sturgeon River; hiking is a popular thing to do around Sturgeon Lake; Stingy Lake Trail is a brilliant local trail.

Pebble Lake Golf Course, a challenging 18 hole course, is 5 miles away.

There is plenty to do at the resort too. Swan Lake is known for its water clarity throughout the summer. Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board. Our swimming area is safely marked off with no dangerous drop offs. We have plenty of sand for sunbathing and sandcastle building.

When you're not in or on the water you can play volleyball, badminton, ''fun'' frisbee golf, basketball, pitch horseshoes or play bocce ball. All recreational equipment can be checked out at no charge. Our game room is always busy with kids ...
