From a rainfall point of view Sturgeon Lake is a pretty common place; July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Sturgeon Lake. Really great skiing awaits you at Welch Village; Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Red Wing, MN is a tremendous place to get some rest. Catfish Slu is one of the streams nearby       that might be worth checking out, and there are other locations here than Sturgeon Lake, for example Birch Lake. Camping at Island Campground is always a pleasant experience, and lakes are such serene places, why not take a look at Wildcat Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Vermilion River. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Afton Alps, and while you're here you can play some golf at Red Wing Golf Club.                  This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Red Wing, and why not take a look at a swamp like Buffalo Slough since you're here at Sturgeon Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Sturgeon Lake while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Sturgeon Lake during the wintertime regularly fall into the 0's.
