After a long day outdoors Country Inn By Carlson Grand Rapids is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Lakes? Sure, Someman Lake is in the neighborhood. This lake is located in the wonderful Mesabi Range. Take a hike on the Skeeter Lake Trail System; not far from Stumple Lake you'll locate Stowe Lake which is a delightful lake.
During the summertime months here at Stumple Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer

| | temperatures descend down into the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 10's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Stumple Lake fall into the-20's. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Mesabi Range. The Wasson Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and camping is available at Jko Campground. This lake is so wonderful. From a precipitation point of view Stumple Lake is a relatively typical site; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. If only every
site had this much outdoors cool stuff, what a great globe it would be. Dry warm beds await you at Budget Host Inn Grand Rapids.

There is plenty to do at the resort too. Swan Lake is known for its water clarity throughout the summer. Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board. Our swimming area is safely marked off with no dangerous drop offs. We have plenty of sand for sunbathing and sandcastle building.
When you're not in or on the water you can play volleyball, badminton, ''fun'' frisbee golf, basketball, pitch horseshoes or play bocce ball.
