This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Strobus Lake is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Poplar River Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby; the skiing at Lutsen is good. Strobus Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Caribou Highlands Lodge is a splendid spot to get some       rest, and get dripping wet paddling on Poplar River. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Strobus Lake; Rib Lake Trail is a perfect local trail, and why not take a refreshing hike along the North Shore State Trail. This is a good area for folks who like lakes. Christine Lake is a lake around here; there's pleasant hiking along the Honeymoon Trail. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Temperance River; after a long                  day outdoors Americinn - Tofte, Mn is a good place to spend a night or two. All through the summertime highs here at Strobus Lake get into the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's.
