After a long day outdoors Americ Inn Hotel & Suites is a perfect place to spend a night or two; camping at Stony Lake is splendid fun, Lowry Grove is a splendid local campground. Mississippi National River & Recreation Area is a pleasant local destination here at Stony Lake, and at Stony Lake you always meet someone from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington. Anoka County Activities       Center is a glorious campground here. Lakes are delightful; Highland Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Stony Lake. From a precipitation point of view Stony Lake is a pretty normal spot; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Very lovely scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Hyland Ski; if you need a spot to stay Americinn - Mounds View, Mn is a tremendous choice. During the summer                  here at Stony Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Stony Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
