There is a brilliant hiking trail in the vicinity of Stony Lake called the North Country Trail, and needless to say, this is a tremendous vicinity for people who like lakes, Peterson Lake is a lake close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Pine River is a perfect place to spend a night or       two, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Lee Lake. High temperatures at Stony Lake during the warm days of summer are in the 80's, and the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Stony Lake. Be careful coming to Stony Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. Near Stony Lake                  you find the Goose Lake Trail System which is a nice hiking trail. Around Stony Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is February.
