     Stingy Lake is located in the Mesabi Range. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop at Bower Lake since you're here at Stingy Lake; it's close by, and hiking along the Snake Trail is delightful fun. Yeah, come up here to the Mesabi Range for a fine time. If you come at the right time of year, Little Fork River offers some nice whitewater.
All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Mesabi Range will keep you coming back again and again. Why not camp
 
   at Stony Brook Campground while you're here at Stingy Lake, and Stingy Lake is right by the Link Lake Trail. Camping is available at C C Campground 717, and the Stingy Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. What a site this is for outdoors people. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Twentyfour is in the neighborhood of Stingy Lake, and Super 8 Hibbing is a fine place to get some rest.
A delightful close by hotel is Hibbing Park Hotel, and drift down the rapids of
 
               Sturgeon River in a kayak. The warmest time of the year at Stingy Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Stingy Lake. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Stingy Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is February.

Fishing is almost always good with a healthy supply of sunfish, crappies, northern and walleyes. Largemouth bass are definitely the most sought after fish the past few years with most of them released again after they are weighed and their picture is taken for our ''fishing report'' board. Our swimming area is safely marked off with no dangerous drop offs. We have plenty of sand for sunbathing and sandcastle building.
