One of the best things about Stevens Lake is its proximity to Paradise Beach; if you have the time, Grand Portage National Monument is a national park worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Tom Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out; there's good hiking along the Lesser Cherry Portage. You'll need       more than a day to discover everything Stevens Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kimball Lake Campground, and don't leave Stevens Lake without first going for a hike along the Great Cherry Portage. Do stop at Otter Lake next to Stevens Lake, it's a beautiful lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit Brule River. During the warmest time of the year at Stevens Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the                  duration of the winter highs are in the 20's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Stevens Lake plunge into the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Good hiking is available along the Vaseux Portage; drift down the rapids of Flute Reed River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful.
